Cathy is the founder of Cathy Carr Coaching & co-director of Place of CHI (along with her husband) and has been working in the Health, Fitness & Wellness space since 1993 holding various roles in different capacities over 4 continents, from gym & trainer management, program director & personal training, mentoring & teaching group fitness, yoga & holistic lifestyle coaching.

Cathy currently runs online programs for women in midlife, who want to get their mojo back and who have the desire to get strong from the inside out including those who want to focus on pelvic floor health.

Having transitioned through peri-menopause and now in post menopause herself, and from coaching hundreds of women entering midlife, Cathy takes into consideration the changes women go through and what they may experience physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually.  

Cathy has had extensive experience working with women who are pregnant and post baby, supporting the mum and mum to be through nourishment and specific conditioning.

Cathy specializes in coaching women who lead busy lives, constantly pulled in different directions, leaving them overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed. These women have lost touch with their true selves after years of caring for others, managing businesses, and taking care of their families. This self-neglect has resulted in depleted vitality and energy; inflammation and/or pain, regret and sadness, leaving them with no time for self-care. Cathy’s transformative methods have had a profound and lasting impact on these women’s lives. By teaching in groups and facilitating various health retreats, Cathy finds immense joy in helping others discover the life-changing benefits of slowing down and reconnecting with themselves. This is a time for introspection, finding tranquility, and experiencing personal growth.

Cathy is a mum of 2 sons, 2 miniature goats and a dog.


Practicing what she preaches and knowing the benefits of strength & stability training – particularly for a woman in midlife, Cathy enjoys working with different variables in her home gym. 

Cathy’s background is dance and sport – all types of movement really and loves a good laugh and boogie to some favourite tunes.
